Our Wedding

It was a beautiful day in May 2024 when Tami and I first crossed paths through the hair business. No, I’m not a hairdresser—but I was Tami’s favorite client, and I absolutely loved the way she made me look. From the very beginning, it was clear there was something special between us. Shortly after that May, we finally had the chance to get to know each other more deeply, and it didn’t take long for us to realize we were right—we were meant to be something beautiful together. Life, however, had its own plans. I had to make a major decision to move clear across the United States to Virginia, where my sister and her family live. Tami, being the most understanding person I know, was willing to take that journey with me—something I’m still so incredibly grateful for. I had to move quickly due to a job transfer, while Tami had to remain behind for three more months. During that time apart, Tami visited, and we used those visits to explore our new world together. One of those trips led us to one of our most precious blessings: Ramsey, our wonderful French Bulldog. On Tami’s second visit, we took a road trip to Pennsylvania and picked out our new furry child—beautiful, sweet, and loved beyond measure. Together, even while living in two different states, we began creating memories in many new places. We traveled to new states, tried new things, and discovered just how lucky we were to share so much—especially our love for attending sporting events. In October, moving day came. It was bittersweet—hard to leave family, but exciting because it marked the beginning of an endless journey together. Since settling in Virginia, we’ve gotten Tami back on track with her profession, and I’ve been fortunate to continue growing in mine. This past year has blessed us with unforgettable experiences: seeing New York City in its magical holiday spirit, spending a gorgeous week in the Outer Banks with family, attending countless football games in multiple states, and taking Tami to her very first Los Angeles Dodgers game—right in Baltimore. Through all the joy, Tami has also been my strength. During a rough patch in my life, she remained patient, positive, and unwavering. I will forever be grateful for her support, her heart, and her faith in us. And somewhere along this journey, I realized what had been true for a long time—I want to spend the rest of my life with this woman. So, on October 12, 2025, at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Rams game, I asked Tami to be my wife. And—because we’re writing our story one beautiful chapter at a time, and because our next big chapter begins on September 7, 2026—she said YES.

Our Story

Photos

Gage is Tami’s oldest, a super polite young man with a great golf swing… and tragically, he’s a Dallas Cowboys fan. Don’t worry—scientists are working hard to find a cure. 🤣🤣🤣

Garrett is one of Tami’s twins—a loving guy who followed in his mom’s footsteps and makes people look good for a living. He focuses on being a man of God, loves to golf, and unfortunately… did NOT pray hard enough to avoid becoming a Dallas Cowboys fan. 🤣🤣🤣

Maddox is one of Tami’s twins—a passionate young man with a work ethic strong enough to scare most adults. He loves golf and, unfortunately, also cheers for the Dallas Cowboys. We all have our struggles. 🤣🤣🤣

Thomas is Sean’s son, a top-notch aircraft guy in Florida, and an all-around awesome young man. He likes fast cars, which is cool, and the Yankees, which… well… nobody’s perfect. 🤣🤣🤣

Henry is the proud product of Tatem—Tami’s sister—and yes, he’s a twin, because apparently the Thunell family doesn’t do anything the easy way. The genes in that bloodline are working overtime. Henry is a burst of pure energy wrapped in sweetness, like a hummingbird that gives hugs. He’s obsessed with dinosaurs and has recently developed a suspicious interest in spooky, scary characters… so we’re all just waiting to see which direction that combo takes.🦖 👻 🦕

Morgan, a Massachusetts native and Montana State University grad, is a driven financial advisor with a passion for success. She’s hardworking, kind-hearted, and knows how to have a good time. Whether it’s crushing it in her career or enjoying life’s moments, Morgan balances ambition with a fun-loving spirit. Unfortunately, she’s also a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan, embracing all the drama and heartbreak that comes with it. It was at Montana State where she met Gage, and the rest, as they say, is history😂😂😂.

Scottie is the proud creation of Tatem, Tami’s sister, and yes, she’s Henry’s twin sister, because in the Thunell family, one bundle of energy is never enough. Those genes clearly run a double shift. Scottie is a loving, sweet, sometimes sassy little force of nature with a smile that can melt hearts and an attitude that keeps everyone on their toes. When she’s not tearing it up in sports, you’ll find her clocking out of action mode and clocking into cuddle time, surrounded by a furry animal sidekicks. 🐾💖

Sabrina comes from a warm, loving Brazilian family now rooted in Renton, Washington, where faith and togetherness seem to be part of the daily air. She joined our lives through her loving relationship with our cherished son, Garrett, and from the start, she fit in as naturally as a missing piece finding its place. Sabrina radiates faith and kindness, sharing those gifts freely with the world around her. She has generously volunteered her time to spread her faith and show how it shapes her into the positive, compassionate woman she is today. Garrett and Sabrina first crossed paths while serving on missions around the world, united by a shared calling to educate and connect with different cultures through their love for God, a meeting that feels less like chance and more like purpose. 🌍💛
